HOUSINGS
The flexible approach of ENKi SYSTEM also means great freedom in enclosing the work area of a specific measuring solution. We offer three solutions for system enclosure: CLOSE, GUARD and OPEN. These housing may be applied interchangeably, and in the future may be modified arbitrarily, e.g. in the case of changes in the layout of the production hall, product, etc.
ENKi OPEN
A completely open variant without physical partitions, it is based on optical safety curtains or other motion detectors. The OPEN variant can also be applied in combination with a cobot without any safeguards.
pros:
- very high flexibility in production line reconfiguration
- easy servicing of several production lines
- quick and easy rearming of measuring station
- small demand for space
cons:
- high risk of breaks during the machine’s work time, mainly when detectors and curtains are applied
- reduced accuracy and lower dynamics when a cobot is applied
ENKi GUARD
This is an open approach to enclosure of a machine’s work area. It is based on ready solutions in the form of mesh panels, optical safety curtains and similar safeguards for automated and robotized production stations. The body is enclosed only by the indispensable guards and an independent operator’s panel situated outside of the machine’s work area.
pros:
- very high flexibility in production line reconfiguration
- easy servicing of several production lines
- quick and easy rearming of measuring station
cons:
- higher demand for space
ENKi CLOSE
Table bodies are adapted to a closed, classical housing mainly dedicated for sites with very little space. The compact design enables installation of the measuring system in the production line without the need for occupying a large amount of space, as is the case with, e.g. mesh fencing panels. The closed housing may be equipped with an integrated or free-standing operator’s panel (the operator’s panel may be the user interface of several ENKi measuring systems)
pros:
- compact design
- compactness
cons:
- lesser possibilities of adaptation in the case of a production layout change
- greater limitations in control of several production lines with a single measuring machine
- more difficult rearming
Examples of different housings of the In Line Measurement system on the same production line

All of our housings and operator’s panels are based on a single, cohesive design, which is additionally distinguished by a programmable signal light. By standard, signaling turns green, red, orange, or blue, but it is possible to configure the color, intensity and work mode of the light arbitrarily. This provides additional capability for communication with the machine by enabling the machine to inform of various events and work modes by means of a light signal. This solution is much more practical than the three options typically available on the market.
